Referring to your despatch No. 26 15th January and meeting of Treasury 22nd June at which reduction of amount to $493,177 to be credited War Office on account of King's Park discussed suggest compromise as follows General Officer Commanding concurs. First War Office to be credited $49,517 in addition to balance on valuation forwarded Governor's despatch No. 297 1903. The whole of Stonecutters to be handed over to War Office. Thirdly. Green areas referred to in paragraph No. fourteen Officer Administering the Government despatch No. 90 9th March to be bought by Colony for War Office. Fourthly. Credit balance to War Office to be taken out in land belonging to Crown as required and not in further purchases of private lands. Foregoing utmost Colony can afford trust you will approve.
